IEM Katowice New Challengers Stage round five matchups released

ESL has released the fifth round's matchups of the IEM Katowice New Challengers Stage, which will see six teams fight for the remaining three spots in the next stage of the Major.

The fourth round took place over the course of the last two days. Friday's 2-1 pool saw ViCi, TYLOO, and Winstrike lose their series to end up in the fifth round, while on Saturday, the 1-2 elimination matches resulted in Ninjas in Pyjamas, G2, and Cloud9 surviving another day.

Before the fourth round came to a close, ESL had already revealed the possibilities of the New Challengers Stage's fifth-round matchups depending on the outcomes of the last matches.

NiP will face ViCi for a spot in the New Legends Stage

The tournament organizer's newly-introduced reseeding system produced three intercontinental clashes as Ninjas in Pyjamas will go up against ViCi, Cloud9 will face Winstrike, and TYLOO will lock horns with G2.
